We are a landscape architecture and urban design firm committed to creating vibrant community spaces and a captivating public realm. As a full-service consultancy that moves projects forward, we seek to offer our clients creative, sensible, and cost-effective solutions for every project we take on.

Led by Mike Enns, LOCI is built on nearly 20 years of design, planning, and project management expertise. With a talented team of landscape architects, planners, graphic designers, multi-media artists, and plant enthusiasts, we serve developers, municipalities, institutions and private clients all over Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island, Southern BC, Washington State, and Asia.

 

Mike Enns

Mike has a special interest in strengthening the connections between people, places and culture. As the firm’s creative director, he brings dynamic leadership and 20 years of innovative design and project management expertise. The creation of LOCI represents a fresh opportunity to engage in placemaking and creative problem-solving through an open, fun, and collaborative studio.

Jan Lee


Landscape Designer + Project Coordinator // Houseplant Hobbyist // LAT

Jan is dedicated to site-specific and holistic designs that integrate our built environment with the local ecology while acknowledging history and culture. She appreciates the intrinsic beauty of the landscape and enjoys taking nature walks, outdoor sketching, painting, bird watching, and collecting/propagating plants in her spare time.

Logan Cairns


Senior Landscape Designer // Music Enthusiast // BDes, BLA

Born in New Zealand, Logan came to Canada in 2015 to pursue his career and travel the globe. It was his love for art and design, coupled with an affinity for the environment which drew him to a career in landscape architecture. Logan has a breadth of professional experience in both public and private sectors, stretching from conceptual design to construction. Logan brings a passion for the creative process, ecological design, and social innovation to his mission of creating great spaces. Outside of the office, you can find him skiing in the mountains, walking his dog Chester, or shouting into a microphone with his band.  

 

Niya Yuan


Landscape Designer // Asian Garden Enthusiast // MLA

Niya has been interested in sustainable landscape design for as long as she can remember, and remains very passionate about enhancing our living environments to achieve ecological, social and economic harmony. She comes to LOCI from Shanghai by way of Winnipeg, where she completed her MLA. In her spare time, she loves to get outdoors and enjoy nature, and is looking forward to exploring all B.C. has to offer.

Amber Paul


Project Manager & Mentor // Polished Multitasker // Landscape Architect BSCLA, CSLA, MLA

Meet Amber, a senior landscape architect providing support and mentorship to developing designers. When not in the office, she’s busy scheduling teenage kids to get to their activities and fitting in personal time on the ski hill, tennis court or walking Vancouver’s parks and beaches. When all stars align, her favourite activity is exploring different countries and cultures and embracing the idea of endless possibility. Amber found landscape architecture through her work in marine biology after graduating from university. She was inspired by the realization that the way we design our cities has a huge impact on our environment. Driven to design better urban spaces, she is continuously inspired by the potential of all her projects to inspire change and foster healthy communities.

Michael Banks


Landscape Designer // Forward Thinker // BLA

Michael brings his passion and enthusiasm for nature and people to all of his landscape designs. He is interested in the intersection of ecology, sociology, and the urban environment. Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, he completed his BLA at the University of Guelph. Outside of work, you can find Michael outside hiking, biking, skiing, or people watching.

 

Jorge Garza

Jorge Garza is driven by the desire to create great places that inspire and uplift individuals while contributing positively to the community as a whole. His background in architecture combined with his knowledge of urban environments allows him to focus on enhancing ecosystem services and promoting economic, ecological, and social benefits. He's always had a knack for crafting intricate maquettes and models, and he recently ventured into the world of sculpture. This artistic pursuit allows him to share his emotions and ideas in a tangible form, offering a unique sensory experience to anyone who engages with his work.

Liana Zheng


Jr Landscape Designer // Cafe Enthusiast // BDES

Liana’s interest in Landscape Architecture and Architecture began with a fascination with world-building and storytelling. With a passion for illustration, she realized this could become a tool to design narratives between the built, ecological, and human environment. During her education, her interest in ecological systems increased, specifically towards topics of restoration and empathy for the environment. In her free time, she is attempting to keep her houseplants alive, drinking matcha, or taking photos.

Bri Cristofoli

Meet Bri, our organizational maestro and the driving force behind our operations! Outside the office, you'll find them zipping through the city in all weather or capturing the world through a camera's lens. With a background in design and fabrication, Bri's journey to LOCI was guided by a shared fascination with the intricate relationship between inhabitants and their environment, be it in companion planting or exploring the connection between a space, its history and what kind of experience we want to cultivate. Their innate efficiency and unwavering commitment to creating a harmonious workplace ensure our office runs like a finely tuned engine.

Maia occasionally visits the office to supervise staff. She gets her regular walks around the office and nearby parks. She loves to watch everyone eat their lunch.
