01 // Inspiration
The landscape concept for the site will focus on three core strategies for design: to create a variety of spaces for residents to socialize and engage with each other, as well as with their surroundings; to draw inspiration from neighbouring Moodyville Park to help extend ‘a working ecosystem’ onto our site, emphasizing permeable landscape , rainwater management, and urban agriculture; and to utilize a materials palette that reflects the site’s north shore thematic - granite stone, river rock, and grasses with wood and core-ten steel accents.
02 // Plan + Visualize
Working closely with the Client, the Design Team and Construction Managers, we explore creative ideas and materials to support the overriding project thematics and architectural form and character.
03 // Refine
As details are refined, the challenge is to uphold the initial project objects while keeping our scope on budget and “constructable”.
04 // Opening 2022
Construction is slated to begin 2021. Check back here for more visuals as the “Morrison On The Park” emerges from the ground!
